This Privacy Policy explains how Vishal Choudhary (trading as Pikl Play)(“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use play.pikl.in (the “Platform”), which lets organizers run pickleball tournaments and lets players register and follow results. By using the Platform you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

• Account details — your name, email address, and phone number when you sign in as an organizer or player.
• Player profile — optional DUPR ID and the ratings/verification returned by DUPR when you link your DUPR account.
• Tournament data — registrations, team/partner details, categories, scores, and results you or an organizer enter.
• Payment information — payments are processed by our payment gateway (Razorpay). We receive confirmation and transaction references, but we do not collect or store your full card, UPI, or bank details — those are handled by the gateway.
• Usage & device data — basic technical logs and cookies needed to keep you signed in and to operate and secure the Platform.

How we use your information

• To create and manage your account and tournaments.
• To process registrations and payments, and to settle registration fees to the relevant organizer.
• To submit completed, DUPR-rated match results to DUPR on an organizer’s behalf where an event is DUPR-rated.
• To display public tournament pages (draws, schedules, live scores, results).
• To send you service communications (e.g. registration confirmations, payment receipts, important updates).
• To protect the Platform, prevent abuse, and comply with law.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run the service:

• With the organizer of an event you register for (your registration and contact details, so they can run the event).
• Razorpay — to process payments and refunds.
• DUPR — to look up ratings and submit match results for DUPR-rated events.
• Infrastructure providers — hosting, database, and storage (e.g. Supabase, Vercel) that run the Platform on our behalf.
• Legal — where required by law or to protect our rights and users.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to operate the Platform. We do not use them to build advertising profiles.

Data retention & security

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, and meet legal or accounting obligations. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect it; no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing us at play@pikl.in. We will respond within a reasonable time, subject to legal and operational limits (for example, records we must retain for completed transactions).

Children

The Platform is intended for adults; minors should participate through a parent or guardian who manages their registration and consents to this policy.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
